The Massachusetts Latino Police Officers Association would like to acknowledge and congratulate Lowell Police Department Lieutenant Marisol Nobrega on her promotion to the rank of Captain, effective July 14, 2023. Your hard work and dedication to your community and the officers of the Lowell Police Department are to be commended and we were honored to be part of recognizing you today as you reached this important milestone in your personal career and your department’s history.
Your career has been filled with both successes and challenges, but you have always shown such humility, grace, and kindness to those around you. You always share your success with your team, and your love for your community is one of the reasons you have risen to the top.
It has been amazing to see your growth these last 25 years. You were the first Latina to be promoted to the rank of Sergeant, the first Latina to be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, and now you are the first Latina to be promoted to the rank of Captain, and only the third female to hold that rank within the Lowell Police Department. Our Association congratulates you on this tremendous achievement.
We are so proud of you and we know that you prove every day that you are not only an amazing leader and friend, but one of the most passionate and compassionate people in our profession. You are truly worthy of this new position and wish you continued success!
