2023 Awards & Recognition

June 30, 2023

Greetings,

The Massachusetts Latino Police Officers Association (MLPO) is pleased to announce that our 2nd Annual Awards Program will be held on Friday October 6, 2023. The event will be held at The View Restaurant located at 357 W. Squantum Street in Quincy, MA and begin promptly at 7pm.

The date falls within Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15) which celebrates the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and both Central and South America

This history and the contributions of Latinos has been on-going since the American Revolution, fighting in every war since then. Latinos today continue to advance communities across the country as small business owners, veterans, teachers, and public servants, among many other professions. So, it is our distinct pleasure to honor those Latinos in our law enforcement profession who serve every day, advancing both their departments and their community, with the goal of creating a better world for us to live in.

Nominations for awards will open tomorrow, July 1, 2023, and will close on August 31, 2023. Submit those nominations quickly!

Our awards include: the MLPO Officer of the Year, the MLPO Award for Mentorship and Sponsorship, the MLPO Community Service Award, the MLPO Leadership Award, and the MLPO Lifesaving Award.

Information about each of these awards and nomination forms can be found at www.masslatinopolice.org and select awards and recognition.
